Krohn, Mrs. Harold (Marie)
Mrs Harold (Marie) Krohn, 56, Ledgeview, died Tuesday evening, April 6, 2004, at a local hospital following a long, courageous battle with cancer. Marie was born August 17, 1947, in Green Bay to the late John and Josephine (Kocken) Barrett. She married Harold on May 28, 1966, in Pilsen. Marie was employed at Packerland Packing for 34 years. She was the Special Events Coordinator for the company and enjoyed that position until her illness would not allow. Marie was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in De Pere. She was an extremely active member of this community. Marie was a board member for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, an active volunteer at the Brown County Association for Retarded Citizens, Syble Hopp School and the N.E.W. Community Shelter. There really isn't enough paper or ink to include all the organizations and individuals she most generously gave of her time and talents. Marie offered herself to improve the lives of so many. First and foremost, she loved her family and she loved cooking ... for everyone. You may remember Marie for her chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; three children Willie (Lori) Krohn, Green Bay; Holly (Scott) Learned, Stiles and John Krohn, Ledgeview; three grandchildren Serina, McKenzie and Kendall, one brother, Pat Barrett, Indiana.
