ord came late Saturday that the Kat has been officially welcomed as the newest employee at Advantage Sales & Marketing.
The Kat was officially notified by email on Saturday that she had passed her drug test and the paperwork was in for her "I-9", the latter a federal form verifying that the applicant is a U.S. citizen. The Company she will be working for is a marketing agency in North America committed to building brand value for their clients and customers. One of the ways they accomplish this is to hand out free samples in stores selling the brand. This is where Kat comes in, she will be preparing the samples and distributing them among shoppers as they stroll by. One might think that if the agency selected The Kat for this job that they would be marketing toy mice or bits of string, but they are actually marketing food items.
Kat will not be abandoning her regular bus driving job at Lamer's Bus Lines and will be conducting the marketing procedures only on selected weekends. This will leave her Monday through Friday bus schedule in tact and without interference. After saying yes to the offer to work for the company after a video interview via scype with the H.R. annalist, the verification procedures took about a week to complete.
The actual setting up of a sample table in the store is still a ways away however. Next comes training also via computer. Kat will have to complete 5 hours of online training before she is able to fly solo in the sample business. Then she will be issued company credentials to purchase the merchandise to sample as well as any supplies she may need for the job. The job pays well and is only a 6 hour shift on selected days as needed by the company.
Just as with any job there is a down side, while passing out samples she will not be able to cuss at customers or make fun of them. She will only be limited to fuzzing up her tail if she becomes angry with a customer. Also she will have to wear the
Kat expects to be busy at her new job during the holidays with business tapering off after the first of the year. She is looking forward to her new experience and comments on facebook by Judy Treml about how she has to get this out of her system so "The Fat Club" can continue were not welcomed by her. She expects to continue meetings of the FC on days she will not have to conduct in store marketing.
